Programme Manager Low-carbon Frameworks, WWF Africa
Louise Naudé leads WWF South Africa’s programme on “low-carbon frameworks”, encompassing work on transitions to a low-carbon economy in the policy, business and civil society arenas. The programme has a focus on transport (see http://www.wwf.org.za/what_we_do/transport/), which includes innovative pilot projects, technical research, and policy inputs. She has been at this for ten years. Some recent work spearheaded by her includes exploring a logistics optimisation service for lower-carbon cementitious materials; work with cities on low-carbon passenger transport which provides greater access for all; a project with UNISA laying the foundation for a travel demand management programme; and a coming study on the impact on the liquid fuels sector of substantial electric vehicle uptake in South Africa.
