Sustainable Development Practitioner, UCT Mira
Lauren Hermanus is a sustainable development practitioner focused on the green economy, urban resilience and energy innovation. Her experience includes policy and programme development and implementation, as well as applied research in the public and private sectors. She was the Green Economy Coordinator for the Western Cape Government until 2015. She is currently holds an appointment as an associate of the UCT MIRA research group with Anton Eberhard. Lauren also runs 'Adapt', a network-based consulting practice, through which she run the South African component of the EU-funded Green-Win project, and works with a variety of clients, including WWF South Africa, the IASS, the CST at Stellenbosch, and SALGA/GIZ (in partnership with the ERC).
